Here’s another video about Project Natal. Personally I’m a bit sceptical about this kind of interaction will be made available to public in the near future.
The technology exists for a long time… motion sensing (Wiimote), infrared to measure distance (small machines used in constructions), camera (image processing like eye toy and AR), etc. I think the biggest challenge is in the software because combining all those technologies and make them working together requires a lot of processing capabilities.
